The power of schmooze

I started reading Jeff not too long ago when I clicked through one of his very witty comments on Dorky Dad's blog. He's a Harry Potter fanatic and has a wife who gives haircuts much like I give them...no holds barred. And he's a schmoozer...according to Dorky Dad. It all adds up to a pretty cool guy in my book.

Well, guess what? Jeff thinks I'm a schmoozer too!

See?

Well, then I started wondering...what, precisely, is a schmoozer? I know I'm a schmoozer professionally...how else do you think I manage to get all those snotty politicians to talk to me? Schmooze, schmooze, schmooze. And I'm definitely one at home...If I wasn't, NOTHING would ever get done! There is no better way to get your husband to do the icky chores that to butter him up with some serious schmooze. In blogging...I like to read a lot of blogs and make a lot of comments. I think that's what makes this whole wonderful blogging experience what it is: The back and forth, the give and take between bloggers. The SCHMOOZING.

The American Heritage Dictionary defines schmooze like this: To converse casually, especially in order to gain an advantage or make a social connection.

So, thank you Jeff! I'm proud to be a schmoozer!

Most welcome Jenn! You deserve it!

And thanks for the kind words. I'm a sucker for flattery.
