A day in the life...

Or, how I spent my Sunday.

6 a.m. Dog whines to be let out to do her business
6:30 a.m. Unruly wakes up and climbs into bed with me
6:35 a.m. She wiggles and squirms and talks and giggles
6:40 a.m. I tell her to "shush and be still!" and try to go back to sleep
6:45 a.m. Unruly jumps on the bed and incites the dogs to bark. A cat lands on my face.
6:55 a.m. Encourage Unruly to go watch TV and eat her entire stash of Halloween candy, hoping she'll be quiet for just a few minutes more.
7 a.m. Unruly turns on Spongebob Squarepants, movie theater loud. I grudgingly get out of bed, stumble to the coffee pot, make coffee
7:15 a.m. Swallow first mug of coffee, feel better and more awake. Note we are out of Splenda
7:20 a.m. Feed Unruly breakfast
7:30 a.m. Put in a load of laundry
7:40 a.m. Try to read a few articles in my new "Dressage Today" magazine
8 to 9 a.m. Play three games of "Life" with Unruly
9:15 a.m. Get dressed, put on shoes, convince Unruly to do the same
9:40a.m. to 12 p.m. Let the chickens out. Work in the woods, clearing brush, cutting paths, cutting down trees, finding tree suitable for treehouse. Fallon my ass in the creek and come up covered in cold, nasty mud, rip my pants on a tree branch.
12 p.m. Quit working in the woods and haul brush to burn pile
12:30p.m. Feed Unruly lunch of crackers, cheese and pudding, notice Wild has crawled out of bed and is now languishing on the couch in PJs glued to a music channel
12:40 p.m. Start the lawnmower, choke on fumes
12:45 to 3 p.m. Mow brush/weeds in pasture. Manage to get 1/2 an acre done. Yell at Akasha to quit digging holes in the pasture. Yell at Xanth to quit swimming in the pond and stop digging holes in the pasture.
3:15 p.m. Start dinner, corned beef, carrots, potatoes and cabbage. Vacuum house.
3:40 p.m. Get in shower to wash off the crusted mud, sweat and twigs
4 p.m. Welcome hubby home, sit on couch for a moment
4:15 p.m. Pick up living room, clean cat box, try to read a book
4:30 Color with Unruly for awhile, encourage Wild to get off the couch and unload the dishwasher. Listen to her complain about having to do "everything" while she's yapping in the phone, again.
5 p.m. Refill bird feeders and throw in another load of laundry
5:30 p.m. Try to read again
6 p.m. Play four games of "Candyland" with Unruly
6:30 p.m. Make pie crusts, mix pumpkin pie filling
6:50 p.m. Feed the family, listen to Wild and Unruly's complaints about dinner.
7:20 p.m.Make pumpkin pies and ask Hubby to get Unruly into the tub
7:45 p.m. Clean kitchen then sit on the couch to watch part of "American's Funniest Home Videos" while Hubby reads good night book to Unruly
8 p.m. Goodnight hug and kiss to Unruly
8:30 p.m. Log on to the Internet to play a little bit of "Guild Wars" with Hubby
10 p.m. Log off, let the dogs out
10:15 p.m. Try to read a chapter in my book, too tired.
10:35 p.m. Head to bed and collapse.
